JPA interview Experience

Course: German Engineering (Electrical)
Venue: Faculty of IT , Uniten Cyberjaya
Time: 8.50
Date: 13 April 2011

My JPA interview was actually my FIRST interview, so i didnt have much experience.... Well,I kinda have some mixed feelings about this german programme, but it seems there's no other better choice.
I went there at 8 o'clock in the morning, which was like 50 mins earlier than the time of my interview ....The faculty of IT was very nice.

I found  a board, checked my name, its in the panel 5. with 2 chinese guys and 1 malay girl. Then I entered the nearby lift, with a malay guy, holding his blazer, like me. We went to the Floor 1. Its like a long pathway. arranged from Panel 1 to Panel 5. Right and Left handside are interview rooms.
I walked, and walked.... and walked, panel 5 is located at the end of the path. I saw a tall,fair-skinned, chinese guy sitting at the waiting chair. He seems very friendly and polite. He greeted me and we shaked hands. I dont remember his name!  Onion Icon ...He applied for sastera ikhtisas . Then, i went to the counter to sign in a namelist and hand in my file. While waiting for my turn, I chatted with him. It was quite fun. Initially we were both afraid that only 2 of us will be interviewed together which will enable the interviewer to shoot questions with M16.
Not long after that, came the malay girl, her name was Anis. While waiting for our turn, which started 30 minutes later than the actual time....
Ok, then came our turn, I wore my blazer and we head into the room. My number was 3. The interviewers consist of 3 people. We greeted the interviewers, stand in front of chair, asked permission to sit, and thanked the interviewers. Sitting in the middle was a malay woman, and beside her got a chinese guy and a malay guy which i recognised him in a Jom-Masuk U melaka education fair. Meanwhile, the woman at the middle looks similar with my Microsoft Word computer teacher at my Computer Short Course in Kajang.  hahaha...
The questions are all in Malay, while the group discussions topics, one in malay, the other on in english. I faced problems to translate certain English terms to Malay, which made me stuck a few times.MSN Onion Emoticon LOL

Basically I rated myself 7/10 for the first part. 5/10 for the first discussion topic and 6/10 for second discussion topic. However, who knows what the interviewers thinked of me anyway. haha
To my astonishment, when i was about to mention a word, but i forgot Onion Icons, suddenly the malay girl whispered the word, which saved me.Onion Emoticon She was applying for German engineering too, which made me like , her ...competition. So......yeah. I guess there are still humans on this earth that are not selfish, though as a matter of fact, humans are the most selfish creatures on earth.... (quotation my teacher once mentioned)
Then the interview session ended. We shaked hands with the interviewers and headed outside. I saw my schoolmate waiting at the waiting chair. Chatted for awhile, took my file, and headed to the lower floor. My mother was waiting at the waiting area. We had our breakfast-lunch. (somewhere in the middle, its like, second breakfast , lol) MSN Onion Icon Then we headed to the car where my father was waiting, and went home.

My weaknesses during JPA interview ;
1. Eye contact
2.Volunteering
3. Talk too fast
4. Pen (should put in blazer pocket liao)
5. Last but not  least, Where's my smile ?!  Onion Emoticon Set
    LOL

So.........I hope that there would be very kind organization that would award me a scholarship to english native speaking countries , i,e: Aus, UK,US. Onion IconsIf there isn't any, german/france also can la.. haha....
btw, the scenery there was captivating . So... I'll be looking forward in 2 weeks for the result. Hope for the best.MSN Onion Emoticons Insya-Allah.
